So the envelopes have now been opened and the A ‘level results are in. For those who have got the grades they needed for university, many congratulations – it really is an amazing achievement and now comes the prep time for Uni. (See our previous blogs on prepping for Uni)
For those who found out today, they didn’t get the grades they needed for the Uni of their choice– don’t panic…there is still hope!!
If University really is where you want to be, UCAS has a clearing process that will help you find a place at another Uni/College. To get the most of the clearing process, you will need to be flexible on location and course.
A full list of course vacancies will be is published on both the UCAS website and in the Independent newspaper from mid-August to late-September, but you will need to get on the case quickly.

There will be a number of you who will have made the decision that University isn’t for them, there are some great Apprenticeship schemes across the UK and the colleges have great subject choices in Higher National Diplomas/Certificates and Diplomas/Certificates of Higher Education including Business & Management, Hospitality, Theatre and Construction and Engineering.
If you have taken the decision to go straight into work, get your CV into a great place and where possible try to get some work experience (don’t forget to keep an eye on our jobs page, we’re always looking for bright new stars to join us) and finally for those with an entrepreneurial streak…take that business idea and make it work.
Good luck to you all, and let us know how you’re getting on!!
